Weekend

This weekend was spent working at a fair at Stend outside of Bergen.

I got a glimpse of what my table at home will look like when I’m an 80 year old crazed grandmother, with dozens of pictures of weird grandchildren crammed into frames.

Sales were lower than last year, but then I also had less work to present. Almost half of what I normally would have now that I have my own gallery:) (My lovely mum kept the galley open this weekend, she told me she enjoyed lots of laughter with cheerful people visiting. Yay:)

And hello to new acquaintances after this fair! Thanks for stopping by, and having big smiles:)

Girl all the bad guys want

About 10 years ago or something when I lived in London, there was this song (probably a quite lame one, but I liked it) that was really popular. It was called “Girl all the bad guys want”. If you like Green Day and Weezer and that kind of sound you’ve probably heard it:) Today I heard it again first time since _forever_, and it just transported me back to the first year as a student there, going home from London drinks slightly unsteady and quite happy:D

Web page sketches

This site is continuously being developed, and on Thursday this week me and the web designer are having a new workshop.

This time Sortenke is (among other things) working on building a word press theme for the page, and I’m making the artwork. Together we develop the design and ideas for the page.

(Sortenke at work:)

So today I’ve been trying out different ways to present the different categories I might have on the portfolio page.

We made some quick sketches for the categories last workshop, and I have tried out different typographic solutions for them. (Still very much hung up on “Lady Rene”.)

Creative minds at work:)

Tomorrow I’ll be all day in my gallery working with different projects and saying hello to clients. See you there:)

MY NEW OFFICE

Since my pink office is being occupied by people with jackhammers and helmets for the moment, this is my new desk.

It’s safer too I think, the roof at our lunch-room at Bryggen has sunk from the vibrations from the heavy machinery. My kitchen table may be a smaller desk, but at least the roof stays where it is. And my neighbour gave me tricolored jelly since I have the flu on top of this ordeal, I already feel better:)
