I love getting to know good people! Come say hello in the mystery ridden world that is social media:)

Find me on Facebook as Gunvor R Illustration:)
This afternoon was spent doing research. And my favorite source of inspiration is John Lasseter and Pete Docter talking about Pixar, and the massive accomplishment it is to make animated films.
This shot is from the storyboard when they redid almost all of Toy Story 2 with only nine months to release. I’m kind of in the same situation, only much smaller scale. Sometimes rooting up a project and redoing it is what needs to be done not to end up with a piece of work neither client or artist are satisfied with:)
After watching these documentaries it feels like I had an inspiring pep-talk, and seeing these people pull off Toy Story 2 after a Black Monday felt great:)
Yesterday I fell in love with an app.
Actually I’m at loss for words.
About 10 years ago or something when I lived in London, there was this song (probably a quite lame one, but I liked it) that was really popular. It was called “Girl all the bad guys want”. If you like Green Day and Weezer and that kind of sound you’ve probably heard it:) Today I heard it again first time since _forever_, and it just transported me back to the first year as a student there, going home from London drinks slightly unsteady and quite happy:D
This site is continuously being developed, and on Thursday this week me and the web designer are having a new workshop.
This time Sortenke is (among other things) working on building a word press theme for the page, and I’m making the artwork. Together we develop the design and ideas for the page.
(Sortenke at work:)
So today I’ve been trying out different ways to present the different categories I might have on the portfolio page.
We made some quick sketches for the categories last workshop, and I have tried out different typographic solutions for them. (Still very much hung up on “Lady Rene”.)
Creative minds at work:)
Tomorrow I’ll be all day in my gallery working with different projects and saying hello to clients. See you there:)
The last few days have been spent among steep mountains and lush woods in Romsdalen. If you ever wanted inspiration for fairytales and trolls, this is where you should go.
I’m working on a book with some great people (more about the workshop later) that is about trolls and a troll wedding taking place at Trollveggen.
Maybe there will be be some pink petal dresses;)
….and the dance floor will be quite crowded with green clad guests?
And a sneaky….. something, that wasn’t invited lurks in the outskirts?
This is going to be fun:) A proper fairytale! FINALLY:D I’m SO pleased!
This is a sketch I originally made for an article about bacteria. But today it serves another purpose. It depicts my stomach not behaving, rendering me useless to the world for the last few days.
Today I’m defying the evil little monster and working anyhow. But curses, this is going slooooowly. Luckily I have a nice home office, with lots of Sun Lolly in the freezer.
….only I hadn’t planned on it being this.
Peacefully drawing for GAN Aschehoug while listening to Prodigy, and my sister phones and tells me that their concert here in Bergen is cancelled. Our spontanious thought was that this was probably some idiot’s fault, and my sister bursted “We will hunt you DOWN!” I couldn’t stop laughing for several minutes! I kept seeing us on a mission to track down whoever was responsible for us not going to the concert.
