Indie shops & cafees in Bergen

The center of Bergen has some lovely little shops and places I like to visit. If you want to google some yourself key words in Norwegian to look for are “nisjebutikker” and “småbutikker”. It translates to “niche shops” and “little shops”. I wanted to make my own unofficial Bergen guide since I have quite a few people in my shop at Bryggen asking me for other places to discover – and without the small shops the center would be a bleak place to visit.

FOR EATING AND HANGING OUT
I am big fan of burgers and pizza, and for veggie burgers my go-to place is Royal Burger and Gin. For meaty burgers it’s there, and Inside. For pizza it’s Hoggorm, and pizza in a more laidback place is Tempo Tempo. For craft beer: visit Apollon and Henriks.

I will add to this post along the way. For a full view the small shops in Bergen go to www.nisjebutikk.no
